Give Thanks to Indigenous People for protecting 80% of the world’s biodiversity despite making up approximately 5% of the Global Population.

Give Thanks to Indigenous People for Indigenous Food Practices are sustainable and adapted to local environments and preserve intact ecosystems.

Give Thanks to Indigenous People for taking action to stop illegal mining, stop fossil fuel pipline constructions and protect and establish Ecological Reserves.

Give Thanks to Indigenous People for sharing Indigenous ancestral knowledge of controlled fire practices to decrease forest fires in climate-impacted areas from California to Northern Australia. In Northern Australia controlled fire practices by Indigenous people halved forest fires in half.

Give Thanks to Indigenous People for fighting for land sovereignty. It is estimated that progress towards Indigenous land repatriation and rematriation could result in as much of a 30% progress towards biodiversity objectives.

This Thanksgiving let us right historical wrongs by taking this day to uplift Indigenous People, Protect Indigenous Culture and Uplift Indigenous Economies and Climate Solutions. The Time is Now to Stand with Indigenous People.
